Okay, so first of all, I am completely dumbfounded with the number of haters that I know. A lot of people apparently have some serious issues with movie stars, and my guess is that their bitterness is aimed at anyone successful in the popular world. Oh well; not me. I think due to the nature of my store, people assume I am anti-Hollywood. Not true. I may not like crap, but I don't define crap based simply on where a film's made. Call me a dork, a loser, a brainless fanboy; but I also can't help being starstruck...no matter how many stars I meet. And look out if the one in question is a beautiful, young starlet - as JLH most definitely is! Let me go on record here and say: All stars are welcome at Dreaming Ant!

Yes, it's true that we didn't have a single movie starring JLH before her visit. But that wasn't because I disliked her (or her body of work); it was simply due to my ongoing space limitations. Without any new, non-animated releases in recent years from Miss Hewitt, it never made sense...until now! And because she was so sweet, I felt it my duty to call West Coast Video immediately following her visit, and purchase every movie they still had in stock (they're going out of business) featuring the starlet. Turns out, they only had one left: Heartbreakers.

If any of yinz were wondering, Jennifer turned out to be an incredibly sweet and absolutely adorable young woman. No superstar attitude. And yes, she's even more beautiful in person than in her films. The DVD she's holding is Russ Meyer's Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!.

So, now that I'm off my antfarm, I need to apologize to those of you non-haters for the pathetic quality of my evidence. My digital camera went on the fritz about a month ago, but because I never got around to buying a new one, I was forced to give the old dog a final opportunity for redemption...three 170 pixel wide videos are what I ended up with; better than nothing I suppose. The low res captures are from the 6-second video above and two other even shorter vids that I haven't been able to post yet. The reason the camera tilts up during the video is because I had no idea it was recording a video; I thought I was taking a still photo.

As for the question of why in the world would Jennifer Love Hewitt be visiting ole dB at Dreaming Ant...well, my long-time friend David Conrad recently filmed a pilot for a new TV series with Miss Love Hewitt in which he plays her husband. Their newfound friendship inspired her to attend David's performance in Henry IV on Friday in Pittsburgh...but only after David escorted her to Dreaming Ant to meet yours truly of course. David, you 'da man!

I'm hoping David, and Jennifer, might write me a brief note about her visit to Pittsburgh, and more importantly, to Dreaming Ant. If I am so fortunate, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll post them pups right here.
